Stronger Together

no matter what comes

Hello friends,

I know it has been a tough week for a lot of us here in the US, and all over the world. I had something else planned for this week’s newsletter topic, but here we are.

What I want to remind us of today are three things:

The first thing: No matter what, we are stronger together. We can support one another. We don’t all have to like one another, but we must keep finding ways to work together. Don’t let anyone tear us apart. Yes, we can take to the streets in rage and grief. We can also plan. Since May, over on Twitter, I've been keeping a rolling list of abortion resources. If you’re interested in finding ways to help, follow this link.*

The second thing: We need to take care of ourselves. We can’t run on adrenaline for long. To care for one another long term? Takes centering and breathing. It takes getting sleep and nourishment. Sometimes? It requires taking a few moments to reset our central nervous systems so we can live and fight another day. Here’s a nine minute meditation I recorded back in 2020. I hope you offer yourself the time and space to listen, uncoil your tension, and breathe. The third thing: There is still beauty in the world. Keep seeking it out, pausing to notice it. And keep creating, friends.

Wishing you strength and love.

Want support in living in greater strength and compassion? In late July, I’m opening a six week course called Engaging the Warrior’s Heart. Some scholarships are available if you need it. Just write and ask.
