On Reconnection

And Making Space

Hello Friends,

I’m writing to you from North Carolina, where a meeting that was too important for me to miss is happening, so I grabbed my personal HEPA filter, masked up, and got into a jet fueled metal tube.

I’m now ensconced in the rolling green with a group of colleagues I haven’t seen since 2018. The work is good, and a necessary reconnection and reset, both for us as a group, and as individuals.

There is art everywhere I turn here, plus ancient oak trees, and delicious food.

Being here, with these friends and colleagues—some of whom I’ve known for decades—feeds my practice, my creativity, and my soul. We’re examining the work that is to come. Plotting and planning. Sharing information. Seeking out the opportunities present in the current moments. Talking about fears and grief, visions and hope. Assessing what our paths are.

So today I’m asking: in what ways do you need to reset, reconnect, and/or make space? What feels important to you right now? What connections have you been missing? What space can you allow yourself right now?

Do you feel a pathway opening?

Wishing you a moment of reconnection and creative spark.

Best wishes— Thorn
