Making the Most

out of life

Hello friends,

Last month’s Patreon story ponders life and death. The story is told in the voice of a minor psychopomp and is all about getting our shit together and living as best we can in the present.

How do you want to live, right now? What choices are you making to support that desire?

Every morning, we make choices about how our day will run. Do we take a moment to breathe, stretch, meditate, or pray? Are we instantly frazzled or checking our electronics? Every small choice affects every other choice.

And each day flows into another day, as years pass. How different is your life now than five years ago? Ten? What kind of life would you like to have in another five years? Well, that begins today.

The psychopomp has a lot to say in this little story. And one of things they say is this:

You’re still breathing. You got today.

Make something right. Even something tiny.

One small thing can make all the difference, in life and death. One parasite or microbe. One kind word. One phone call. Turning left instead of right.

Life is a series of choices. But it’s up to us to make them.

You can read the rest of the story here: Lessons from a Minor Psychopomp.

I’d love to hear what you think of the story, and your thoughts on living life in this long transition toward something new.
